about us

Rebuilding Lives. Restoring Hope. Together.

Achdut Israel was founded in response to the devastating attacks of October 7, which marked a turning point for Jews in Israel and worldwide. Soldiers were called to action, leaving behind jobs, homes, and loved ones. Their families were left to navigate overwhelming financial and emotional hardships, often feeling isolated in their struggles. Achdut Israel stepped in to bridge this gap, ensuring that no soldier or their loved ones feel forgotten by providing immediate, tangible support during this critical time.

Our resources extend to soldiers, their families, widows, orphans, and those who have become amputees in the line of duty.

Once the war began, we recognized the mental and physical toll it caused soldiers forced to leave their families behind. In response, we launched Operation Koach Tzvika, an initiative where we act as second responders to these soldiers and their families. This operation provides financial aid, organizes morale-boosting BBQs from Gaza to Lebanon, and offers practical help like food for Shabbat and therapy for children. For widows and orphans, we provide emotional and financial support, assistance with major milestones, and opportunities for healing. For amputees, we ensure their homes are accessible, connect them with meaningful job opportunities, and provide resources for recovery and stability.

Our mission also includes protecting Jewish communities worldwide. Through Koach Tzvika, we send experienced combat trainers to teach self-defense to Jewish groups, campuses, synagogues, and communities. These efforts help foster resilience and empower communities to stand strong in the face of rising antisemitism.

Founded by Davidi Tzion, alongside board members Orit Mark and Nathan Sheranski, Achdut Israel is dedicated to meeting the growing needs of soldiers and their families. At Achdut Israel, we’re not just helping individuals — we’re strengthening the Jewish people. Together, we can ensure that those who protect us know they are never alone and that Jewish communities worldwide remain united and resilient.

Mission Statement

Achdut Israel is dedicated to supporting the families of Israeli soldiers who bear the burden of their loved ones serving to defend Israel. Through financial assistance, emotional care, and practical resources, we aim to ease the challenges faced by these families and ensure that no sacrifice goes unnoticed.

We also stand at the forefront of combating antisemitism by empowering Jewish communities around the world. By offering combat training and self-defense education to everyday people, we equip Jewish groups with the tools to protect themselves and their communities in the face of rising hate.

At Achdut Israel, we believe that by supporting soldiers, strengthening families, and empowering global Jewish communities, we can create a unified and resilient Jewish nation.

Our Missions

Koach Tzvika: Strength in Action

Achdut Israel proudly leads an operation called Koach Tzvika, a name that conveys strength and resilience in Hebrew. Through this operation, we bring an incredible amount of resources to support our four key initiatives: aiding soldiers and their families, providing for widows and orphans, supporting amputees, and empowering Jewish communities with proactive self-defense training. Koach Tzvika represents our unwavering commitment to ensuring that those who sacrifice so much for Israel and the Jewish people receive the care, support, and tools they need to rebuild and thrive.

Soldiers

At Achdut Israel, we are dedicated to easing the burdens faced by Israeli soldiers who sacrifice so much to protect the Jewish homeland. Through our initiative, Koach Tzvika, we lead efforts to bring joy and sustenance to soldiers across Israel. From BBQs at army bases in the north to the south, Koach Tzvika ensures that soldiers feel appreciated and supported while serving. We also provide financial assistance to soldiers in reserves who leave their jobs to serve, ensuring their families have the stability they need.

Widows

The loss of a loved one in service to Israel leaves families with immense emotional and financial challenges. While the Israeli government provides support, we step in to help widows with practical help, such as housework and childcare, as well as financial aid for milestones like bar mitzvahs and birthdays. We also provide emotional support and help widows honor their loved ones' memories through meaningful projects and events.

Orphans

Children who have lost a parent in service to Israel face unique hardships. Achdut Israel provides these children with therapy, personalized academic support to address the challenges of loss and life changes, and financial assistance to help them celebrate major life events. We also take them to sporting events to bring moments of joy and normalcy. By stepping in to meet their specific needs, we help these children heal, grow, and thrive despite their loss.

Amputees

Our support extends to soldiers who have been injured in service and are now navigating life as amputees. We assist with making their homes accessible through renovations and help them secure jobs that accommodate their physical needs, such as remote positions or other suitable employment opportunities. By addressing these challenges, we enable amputees to continue contributing meaningfully while embracing their new realities. Additionally, we organize vacations and social events to uplift and support them in their recovery and reintegration into civilian life.

Protection and emergency readiness training

This initiative, led by Koach Tzvika, works with experienced combat trainers to teach self-defense and proactive protection to Jewish communities worldwide. We send trainers to campuses, synagogues, and community centers to equip individuals with the skills and techniques necessary to defend themselves and their communities. By fostering empowerment and safety, we stand strong against rising antisemitism and ensure that Jewish communities are prepared to protect themselves.
